3rd Overland Event Set to Become Premier Tourism Product for Nature-Loving Youth
PHNOM PENH, July 14, 2026 – The 3rd Overland event is expected to become an attractive tourism product for young nature lovers and adventure enthusiasts, while contributing to promoting Cambodia's diverse tourism potential, following support from Tourism Minister H.E. Huot Hak.
On July 13, Minister Huot Hak received the CPG Overland team, led by Mr. Hour Chanvathanak, Head of the Caravan Trip team, at the Ministry of Tourism to discuss plans for the upcoming 3rd Overland event.
The minister expressed his support for the event, describing it as a high-potential activity to promote motorsport and adventure tourism, while diversifying Cambodia's tourism offerings.

The event is expected to promote new tourism destinations, natural areas, and community-based tourism to a wider audience, generate domestic tourist flows, and boost spending on accommodation, food, transport, and other tourism services—increasing local income and improving livelihoods.
Minister Huot Hak encouraged the team to ensure quality, safety, and responsibility, with a focus on environmental protection, respect for local culture and traditions, and close cooperation with authorities, tourism departments, the private sector, and local communities.
The CPG Overland team has previously organised the 1st and 2nd Overland events in Mondulkiri and Ratanakiri provinces, an international Off-Road race in Preah Sihanouk province, and the Off-Road Show 2026 in Kandal province.
