Affordable Airport Bus Offers Tourists a Front-Row Seat to Phnom Penh's Growth
PHNOM PENH, September 8, 2026 – A new bus service is giving travelers an affordable and scenic introduction to Cambodia's capital, with fares from Techo International Airport to the city centre costing just 1,500 riel.

Minister of Tourism Huot Hak recently invited British Ambassador Dominic Williams to test the Airport Express Bus, which is operated by the Phnom Penh Autonomous Bus Transportation Authority. The service runs daily from 5:30 AM to 10:30 PM, offering a comfortable and budget-friendly alternative to taxis and private cars.

The route takes passengers along Samdech Techo Hun Sen Boulevard, past the Morodok Techo Flyover, and along Preah Monivong Boulevard to the Kouch Kanong Roundabout. For the price of a coffee, riders can enjoy views of Phnom Penh's evolving skyline and growing infrastructure while saving on travel costs.
