ASEAN–China Women Entrepreneurs Exchange Delegation Visits Local Enterprises in Siem Reap

PHNOM PENH, August 21, 2026 – Approximately 100 participants from the public and private sectors across ASEAN Member States and China visited local enterprises in Siem Reap on August 19, as part of the ASEAN–China Women Entrepreneurs Exchange, according to a post by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.
The delegation, led by H.E. Yeap Samnang, Under-Secretary of State of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, toured six local businesses: Cambodia Hair Extensions, Samnang Sothea Fish Processing Handicraft, Vanhong Jewelers, Angkor Silk Farm by Artisans Angkor, and SATCHA–Cambodia Handicraft Center.

The visits provided participants with first-hand insights into the experiences and good practices of local MSMEs, while fostering networking and exchanges on entrepreneurship and market opportunities. The programme highlighted the role of MSMEs in creating jobs, empowering communities, and advancing inclusive and resilient economies.
The event also underscored the importance of economic diplomacy and women's entrepreneurship in strengthening ASEAN–China linkages, while showcasing Siem Reap's rich cultural heritage, traditional craftsmanship, and local livelihoods.
The Exchange was organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Cambodia, with support from the Government of the People's Republic of China through the ASEAN-China Cooperation Fund.
