Australia, Cambodia Review ACCESS 2 Progress on Disability and GBV Services

PHNOM PENH — Oct. 8, 2026: Australia and Cambodia have reviewed progress under the ACCESS 2 programme, which supports access to inclusive services for people with disability and survivors of gender-based violence.

The third ACCESS 2 Steering Committee meeting was co-chaired by Australian Development Counsellor Ms. Kirsty Harris and H.E. Met Makara, Secretary of State at the Ministry of Social Affairs, Veterans and Youth Rehabilitation.

The Committee works to ensure the programme delivers sustainable results and that investments align with Cambodia's national priorities, including the National Action Plan to Prevent Violence Against Women and the National Disability Strategic Plan.

The meeting underscores ongoing cooperation between the two countries on inclusive development.
