Cambodia and US Hold 4th Defense Policy Dialogue in Washington
PHNOM PENH, July 23, 2026 – Cambodia and the United States have held the 4th Defense Policy Dialogue in Washington, D.C., reaffirming their commitment to strengthening bilateral military cooperation across key sectors.
On the morning of July 22, H.E. Lieutenant General Rath Dararoth, Secretary of State of the Ministry of National Defence, led a delegation of the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces to the Pentagon, where he was welcomed by Ms. Lori D. Abele, Acting Deputy Assistant Secretary of War for South and Southeast Asia.
During the dialogue, both sides held constructive discussions on further strengthening Cambodia-U.S. defence cooperation, including joint military exercises, human resource development, professional military education and training, and other areas of mutual interest.

H.E. Lieutenant General Rath Dararoth also briefed the U.S. side on the latest developments regarding the Cambodia-Thailand border situation and expressed sincere appreciation for the United States' continued support and constructive engagement on the border issue.
The dialogue reflects the ongoing partnership between the two nations in defence and security cooperation.
