During the meeting, Cambodia demanded that Thailand cease activities such as land clearing for road construction, geographical expansion, and the laying of barbed wire in areas within Cambodian sovereign territory and areas not yet clearly demarcated. Cambodia emphasized the urgent necessity to commence demarcation work of the Joint Boundary Commission (JBC) as soon as possible, in accordance with existing bilateral agreements and the Joint Statement of December 27, 2025.

Regarding incidents of shooting and explosions, Cambodia requested the most diligent verification to prevent misunderstanding and called for concrete measures to ensure such incidents do not recur and to avoid unnecessary escalation of tensions.

Cambodia also requested that Thailand cooperate in educating and enforcing discipline among its frontline forces to prevent provocative actions, including firing weapons, laying barbed wire, and using inappropriate language. Both sides were urged to jointly prevent the spread of fake news and disinformation intended to incite hatred and resentment.

Cambodia reaffirmed its strict adherence to the Joint Statement of the 3rd Special Meeting of the Cambodia-Thailand General Border Committee of December 27, 2025, the Joint Declaration on the Cambodia-Thailand Peace Agreement of October 26, 2025, and other relevant agreements.
