Cambodia Explores Digital Learning Partnerships with DICHI Academy and Apple
PHNOM PENH, August 27, 2026 – Cambodia is exploring new opportunities to integrate technology into education, following a meeting between Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education, Youth and Sport Dr. Hang Chuon Naron and a delegation from DICHI Academy and Apple Inc.
The August 27 meeting at the Ministry brought together Sivhuang Lay, Managing Director of DICHI Academy, and Paviter Singh, Apple Education Lead for Cambodia, along with senior ministry officials, to discuss how digital tools can enhance teaching and learning across the country.
The delegation shared regional success stories on technology-driven learning and outlined plans to bring similar initiatives to Cambodia. They also expressed interest in launching an Advanced Diploma Pathway programme and sought guidance on the licensing process.
DICHI Academy, which currently operates under a short-course license from the Ministry, focuses on industry-led education in digital technology and AI. The institution partners with international firms including Apple Education, Cisco Networking Academy, and Qwasar Silicon Valley to deliver courses that combine theory with real-world application, ensuring graduates are job-ready.
Minister Hang Chuon Naron welcomed the company's interest and outlined the government's digital education strategy, which includes strengthening ICT infrastructure, updating curricula to include STEM and computer science, training teachers in digital tools, and expanding online learning platforms.
He encouraged the company to work closely with the Ministry's technical team to complete the licensing process, noting that such initiatives align with Cambodia's broader education reform and its push toward a digital economy.
