Cambodia, France Take Joint Step Toward Space Cooperation

PHNOM PENH, September 11, 2026 – Cambodia and France have taken a joint step toward cooperation in the space sector, with Cambodian Minister of Posts and Telecommunications Chea Vandeth attending the International Space Summit in Paris on September 9–10.
The summit brought together 90 states, leading space agencies, major companies, and French astronaut Thomas Pesquet. On the sidelines, Minister Chea Vandeth held working discussions with France's Minister of Higher Education, Research and Space, Philippe Jérôme Pierre Baptiste, and Éléonore Caroit, Minister Delegate for Francophonie, International Partnerships and French Nationals Abroad.
