Cambodia Gives Companies Six More Months to Settle Annual Declaration Penalties

PHNOM PENH — Sept. 29, 2026: Companies that missed Cambodia's annual declaration deadline have been granted an additional six months to settle penalties, under a new announcement from the Ministry of Commerce.

The extension applies to firms that failed to file within the timeframe set by Announcement No. 0051 MOC.D/BR of Jan. 8, 2026, which had allowed compliance until April 1, 2026.

To qualify, companies must pay the annual penalty covering the last one year plus the corresponding fees within six months of the announcement, and take part in a shareholder background check aimed at strengthening anti-money laundering efforts.

Firms that fail to meet these conditions within the deadline will be classified as inactive, potentially affecting their rights and business registration status.


The Ministry encouraged companies to file on time and said those facing technical problems with the registration system can reach its Call Center at 1266, pressing 2 for business registration services. It reminded owners and managers of their obligations under Article 7 of the Law on Commercial Enterprises.
