Cambodia SuperPort: New $300 Million Special Economic Zone Launches in Kampong Speu

PHNOM PENH, August 31, 2026 – A new $300 million special economic zone, the Cambodia SuperPort, officially broke ground on August 31 in Kampong Speu province, marking a significant step forward in the country's logistics and industrial development.
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Civil Service Hun Many presided over the groundbreaking ceremony on behalf of Prime Minister Hun Manet. The project is located in Sambour village, Chbar Mon city, Kampong Speu province, covering approximately 132 hectares.
The Cambodia SuperPort is designed to strengthen the country's logistics network and industrial connectivity, linking local production to regional and international markets through an integrated multi-modal transportation system. The project is expected to boost competitiveness, create jobs, and provide better livelihood opportunities for Cambodians.
