Cambodia, UK Eye Green SEZs and Logistics Master Plan in Investment Push

PHNOM PENH — Oct. 8, 2026: Cambodia and the United Kingdom have discussed steps to improve the trade and investment climate, including the development of Green Special Economic Zones and closer cooperation on logistics.
Deputy Prime Minister Sun Chanthol, First Vice Chairman of the Council for the Development of Cambodia, met UK Ambassador Dominic Williams on Oct. 8, 2026, joined by representatives from ARUP and TBI, led by Andy Hodgson and Kathleen Kho, along with CDC management and British Embassy staff.
Talks covered streamlining unnecessary procedures, maximising the UK's trade preference scheme, advancing Green SEZs and building workforce capacity. Both sides also exchanged views on a cooperation mechanism for Cambodia's logistics sector, tied to the Comprehensive Intermodal Transport and Logistics System Master Plan 2023-2033.
