Cambodia's Hospital Quality Standards Receive International Recognition
PHNOM PENH, September 11, 2026 – The Ministry of Health of the Kingdom of Cambodia has announced that the International Society for Quality in Health Care External Evaluation Association (ISQua EEA) has officially recognized the second edition of Cambodia's Hospital Service Quality Standards (CHAS, 2nd Edition).
The standards were developed by the Hospital Accreditation Committee of the Ministry of Health (MoH-HAC). The official recognition is valid until September 2030, underscoring Cambodia's compliance with internationally recognized quality and safety standards in healthcare.
ISQua EEA, headquartered in Geneva, operates as an independent accreditation body active in more than 70 countries. Its mission focuses on strengthening health systems globally by ensuring that quality accreditation frameworks meet universal standards for safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
This recognition marks a significant milestone for Cambodia's healthcare sector, reflecting ongoing efforts to elevate hospital service quality to international levels.
