Cambodia's Next Generation of Artists Invited to Train Free at Fine Arts School

PHNOM PENH — Sept. 16, 2026: Young Cambodians with a passion for the arts have an opportunity to train without cost at one of the Kingdom's oldest cultural institutions, as the Secondary School of Fine Arts opens enrollment for the 2026-2027 academic year.
The school is accepting applications across five disciplines: classical dance, theatre, circus arts, music and sculpture. Instruction is offered free of charge.
Application forms are available from now until Sept. 24, 2026. Entrance examinations will take place on Oct. 2, 2026.
Photo: Cambodia Cinema DepartmentThe Secondary School of Fine Arts, located near Boeung Bayap in Sen Sok district, Phnom Penh, has long served as a training ground for performers and artists who sustain Cambodia's rich cultural heritage. Its alumni include dancers, musicians and performers who carry forward traditions dating back to the Angkor era.
Parents and guardians are encouraged to visit the school's academic office on Dr. Mong Rithy Street (1928) in Oknha Veang village, Phnom Penh Thmey commune, for more details.
