Cambodia's Verify.gov.kh Wins UN Public Service Award for Transparency

PHNOM PENH, June 25, 2026 – Cambodia's digital document verification platform verify.gov.kh has won the 2026 United Nations Public Service Award for transparency and accountability, the Ministry of Post and Telecommunications announced.
The platform received the award at the UN Public Service Forum in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, under the theme "Institutional Transformation of Public Service: Promoting Innovation, Accountability, Engagement and Inclusiveness." It was selected among more than 700 systems from 62 countries around the world.
Launched in 2023 under the leadership of Samdech Techo Hun Sen, verify.gov.kh was created to eliminate document fraud, verify document authenticity, save time, reduce costs, and promote digital transformation in public services. Under the vision of Prime Minister Hun Manet, the ministry has continued to develop the platform, integrating artificial intelligence technology and enhancing flexibility and cybersecurity resilience in line with international standards.

The platform is now recognised as the fourth digital public infrastructure in the world and has been shared with several other countries. Previously, verify.gov.kh also won a gold medal at the ASEAN Digital Awards 2024 in Singapore and the Outstanding Digital Service Award at the 20th World Summit on the Information Society Forum in Switzerland.
The ministry called on the public to celebrate this achievement, which demonstrates Cambodia's growing digital capabilities and international recognition.
