Dr. Pich Chanmony Hun Manet Receives Prestigious OB-PS Awards, Named National President for Cambodia
Phnom Penh, June 18, 2026 – Dr. Pich Chanmony Hun Manet, National Commissioner of the Girl Guides Association of Cambodia, has received a series of prestigious honours from the Olave Baden-Powell Society (OB-PS), including the Champions Award, as well as her appointment as National President of OB-PS Cambodia.
On behalf of Her Majesty Queen Mother Norodom Monineath Sihanouk, Honorary President of the Girl Guides Association of Cambodia, Dr. Pich Chanmony accepted the Champions Award in recognition of the Queen Mother's outstanding humanitarian work and lifelong dedication to promoting women's rights and social welfare.
In further recognition of her own years of dedicated social service, the OB-PS community also appointed Dr. Pich Chanmony as National President of OB-PS Cambodia. She was additionally honoured with the Princess Benedikte Award, a distinguished honorary membership.
The awards were presented during a ceremony held in Siem Reap on the afternoon of June 18. On the same occasion, 86 new members voluntarily joined OB-PS as full members, strengthening the movement's support for the Girl Guides Association of Cambodia and the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts.
