EDCF, MPWT Hold 4th Joint Monitoring of Ta Khmau Wastewater Project
PHNOM PENH, September 10, 2026 – Representatives from the Economic Development Cooperation Fund (EDCF) and the Ministry of Public Works and Transport (MPWT) convened in Ta Khmau, Kandal province, on September 8 for the 4th Joint Monitoring Meeting on the city's wastewater treatment system development project.
The project, now in its second year, has achieved approximately 38 percent overall progress as of the end of August 2026.
The inspection was led by H.E. Ros Vanna, Secretary of State of MPWT and Project Director, and Mr. Koo Bonhyun, EDCF Country Director. They were joined by the Deputy Project Director, project management and working group members, representatives from the Ministry of Economy and Finance, the Kandal Provincial Department of Public Works and Transport, technical officials, the Dohwa-Seoyoung Joint Venture consultant team, and the Joint Venture of KUMHO-TECHCROSS construction company.
Discussions focused on the project's work progress for August 2026, underscoring the continued collaboration between Cambodian authorities and international partners in advancing urban infrastructure in Kandal province.
