German Embassy Joins EU Delegation on Field Mission to Battambang and Pursat
PHNOM PENH, September 11, 2026 – The German Embassy, together with the European Union, fellow EU Member States, and the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC), conducted a joint field mission to Battambang and Pursat provinces as part of the "Team Europe" initiative.
The mission visited various projects financed by the EU and its Member States, highlighting the partnership's commitment to supporting Cambodia's sustainable growth.

For Germany's part, the delegation visited COMPOSTED, a local organisation working to convert organic waste into compost under the GGI4CE project. Implemented by GIZ, the project promotes circular economy practices in Cambodia's waste sector.
Germany reaffirmed its continued commitment, alongside its partners, to a greener and more sustainable future for Cambodia.
