H.E. Chea Serey Earns A- Rating from Global Finance for Third Consecutive Year
PHNOM PENH, September 9, 2026 – H.E. Dr. Chea Serey, Governor of the National Bank of Cambodia, has been awarded an A- rating by the international financial magazine Global Finance for 2026, marking the third consecutive year she has received this high-level recognition for her leadership of the central bank.
The rating places Governor Chea Serey among a distinguished group of central bank governors from countries with advanced financial systems, including Martin Schlegel of the Swiss National Bank, Khaled Mohamed Balama Al Tameemi of the Central Bank of the United Arab Emirates, and Eli Remolona of the Central Bank of the Philippines.
Global Finance has published its annual central bank governor ratings since 1994, evaluating the performance of approximately 100 central bank leaders worldwide. The ratings are based on assessments of monetary policy implementation, economic management, and institutional effectiveness.
