In Khmer Silk: Iwona Kmiecik Brings Cambodian Heritage to the World Stage
PHNOM PENH, Oct. 19, 2026: Iwona Kmiecik, founder and Chairwoman of the Board of Directors of IM Capital Holding, wore elegant Khmer traditional attire during a courtesy call with Prime Minister Hun Manet at the Peace Palace, demonstrating her respect and affection for Cambodian heritage.

The gesture is no isolated occurrence. Kmiecik has consistently championed Cambodian culture on the international stage by wearing traditional Khmer professional attire at major diplomatic and business forums across Europe.

"I'm glad that the Poland-Cambodia relationship is taking on a real shape," she said.

On Sept. 29, at the Cambodia & Europe Investment Summit 2026 hosted at Hotel Sopot, she appeared in a striking green traditional Khmer outfit. At the Poland-Cambodia Business Evening at Hotel Quadrille Relais & Châteaux, and at various other prestigious events, she regularly selects Cambodian silk attire to represent her ties with the Kingdom.

Her choice of beautifully tailored Khmer outfits — meticulously crafted with detailed embroidery and authentic Khmer silk — has drawn widespread admiration. Beyond adhering to the formal protocol of the Kingdom, her sartorial choices send a message to the global community about the beauty, dignity and timeless value of traditional Cambodian textiles and craftsmanship.

During the meeting with the Prime Minister, IM Capital Holding reaffirmed its strong confidence in the Royal Government's leadership and Cambodia's open, secure investment environment. The company continues to expand its investments in luxury real estate, residential projects and international-standard hospitality developments, including major eco-friendly resort projects on Koh Rong in Preah Sihanouk province, aiming to boost eco-tourism and generate employment for local Cambodians.

The Royal Government's efforts to maintain peace, economic stability and an attractive investment climate have positioned Cambodia as a vibrant investment hub in Southeast Asia. The blend of modern economic progress and preserved cultural identity inspires international investors like Kmiecik to not only commit capital to the Kingdom but also act as cultural ambassadors highlighting Cambodia's unique heritage and economic potential to the world.
