PM Hun Manet Hears Directly From Frontline Teachers at 161 Target Schools

Phnom Penh, October 27, 2026: Prime Minister Hun Manet has met with core teachers and principals from 161 target schools under the National Committee for the Implementation of Key Education Measures, gathering first-hand feedback on the extended-hours curriculum programme.
The meeting allowed educators to report directly on progress, results and challenges arising from the rollout of the programme. PM Hun Manet also assessed how the target schools have performed since adopting the extended-hours curriculum, identifying what has worked well and where adjustments are needed.
Discussions then moved to further approaches for strengthening grassroots education, with the aim of meeting training standards and reaching every school nationwide.
The consultation underscores the government's emphasis on listening directly to frontline educators, whose classroom experience is regarded as essential to shaping reforms that work in practice—delivering quality education, good behaviour, ethics and responsibility to students across the country.
