PM Hun Manet Thanks Citizen, Provincial Team Over Phnom 1500 Land Resolution

PHNOM PENH — Oct. 6, 2026: Prime Minister Hun Manet has expressed gratitude to Ms. Sem Sokha for answering his Oct. 1 appeal and coming forward to meet provincial officials over land issues in the Antong Ang area of Phnom 1500, Pursat province.
He reiterated that the Royal Government regards no citizen as an enemy, especially those without land, and said it consistently pursues solutions such as social land concessions and housing. He noted that thousands of families have already received land through programmes including LASED, allocations for veterans and retirees, and land-for-forest-protection schemes.

The Prime Minister thanked Pursat Governor H.E. Khoy Rida and the working group led by H.E. Keo Ratana for addressing land issues in the area and for working toward a solution for Ms. Sem Sokha under the Win-Win policy.
He reaffirmed that the Phnom 1500 site will be kept as state public land and reforested to become a natural tourism destination for the public and visitors.
