Queen Mother Receives WAGGGS Champions Award
PHNOM PENH, July 30, 2026 — Cambodia's First Lady, Pich Chanmony, led a delegation from the Girl Guides Association of Cambodia to pay a royal audience to Queen Mother Norodom Monineath Sihanouk, the association's Honorary President.
During the audience on Thursday morning, the First Lady presented the Queen Mother with the Champions Award, an honorary distinction conferred by the Olave Baden-Powell Society (OB-PS). The award recognizes the Queen Mother's longstanding humanitarian contributions and support for the Girl Guiding movement.

The honor follows Cambodia's successful hosting of the 39th World Conference of the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS) and the 42nd Annual Meeting of the Olave Baden-Powell Society in Siem Reap earlier this year.
H.E Pich Chanmony also presented the Queen Mother with a brief report on the recent progress and achievements of the Girl Guides Association of Cambodia.
