Three Ministries Join Forces to Boost Cambodian Craft Products and Tourism Souvenirs
PHNOM PENH, July 31, 2026 – Three Cambodian ministries have joined forces to promote local craft products and tourism souvenirs, holding the first National Forum on "Promoting Tourism Craft Products and Cambodian Souvenirs" in Siem Reap on July 30.
The forum was co-chaired by Tourism Minister Huot Hak, Commerce Minister Cham Nimul, and Industry, Science, Technology and Innovation Minister Hem Vandy, reflecting a unified government commitment to strengthening the local production and distribution chain.
The event served as a direct business matching platform between producers—including artisans, local enterprises, and community producers—and distributors such as hotels, tour operators, and souvenir shops. The initiative aims to eliminate market barriers and create a value chain that directly benefits Cambodian producers.

The three ministers toured exhibition booths, examining product quality, design, and creativity, while encouraging artisans to maintain high standards and preserve national identity to meet the demands of both domestic and international tourists.
The forum is expected to serve as a catalyst for creating new market opportunities for Cambodian-made products, increasing income for communities and artisans, and promoting sustainable and inclusive tourism development in line with the Royal Government's Pentagonal Strategy.
The collaboration between the three ministries reflects strong government commitment to making Cambodian products the first choice for tourists and expanding exports to international markets.
