UK's Jaguar Land Rover Arrives in Cambodia as Luxury Auto Market Expands

PHNOM PENH, July 3, 2026 – Cambodia's luxury automotive sector has received a major boost with the official launch of Jaguar Land Rover's showroom in Phnom Penh, marking the British brand's entry into the Kingdom's growing market.

The inauguration ceremony on July 3 was led by Commerce Minister Cham Nimul, who joined HGB Prime Co., Ltd. Chairman Oknha Nguon Leang Huot, Jaguar Land Rover Asia-Pacific Managing Director Garth Turnbull, and other dignitaries at the new showroom.

The event highlighted the strengthening partnership between Cambodia's private sector and international luxury brands. Minister Cham Nimul described the launch as a clear signal of investor confidence in Cambodia's economic trajectory and its ability to attract world-class brands.

She noted that Cambodian consumers are increasingly seeking high-quality products and services, driving businesses to raise standards and enhance competitiveness. The arrival of Jaguar Land Rover, she said, reflects the evolution of the local market toward greater sophistication and consumer choice.

The minister encouraged HGB Prime to focus on service excellence, after-sales support, and investment in technology and innovation. She reaffirmed the Ministry of Commerce's commitment to fostering a transparent and competitive environment that supports sustainable business growth and investment.
