UN Salutes 450 Cambodian Blue Helmets Across Five Missions

PHNOM PENH — Oct. 9, 2026: The United Nations has paid tribute to more than 450 Cambodian military and police officers serving in five peacekeeping missions worldwide.

The UN thanked the personnel for their service and sacrifice, noting they have left their families behind to protect the most vulnerable.

Cambodia has contributed personnel to UN missions for years, with Cambodian peacekeepers working in engineering, demining, medical support and civil-military roles. Cambodian troops have also carried out humanitarian work in mission areas, including aid deliveries to schools and communities.
